By the Pale Moon Light

Chapter One

I shouldn’t have ran away, not for the reasons you are thinking, but because I came ill prepared.
All I had was my backpack filled with clothes, and five hundred bucks, I’d managed to save from when mom sent me grocery shopping.
No food, nothing to light a fire, and nothing to keep me warm at night. So here I am in the middle of the forest shivering to death, and nowhere to go.
I’m not going back, ever, my mother’s latest boyfriend, Ned, seemed to think it was alright to feel me up when the mood struck him, and my mother just ignored it.
Tonight after dinner was the last straw, I was finishing up cleaning the dishes when Ned came up behind me,
he rubbed himself against my rear, almost causing me to vomit up the dinner I just cooked. “Twyla, why don’t you let me show you what a real man can do for you.”
Was he serious, he smelled of stale beer, and hot Cheetos. Not to mention the fact that he hadn’t bathed in two days, yeah he was a real ladies man.
“Get off me Ned, go bother my mom, she’s in her bedroom.” I tried to scoot away from him, but he sidestepped me, blocking my exit.
When his slimy hand came up to caress my cheek I had to refrain from biting him, for one thing I didn’t want whatever he had,
and I was afraid if I did he’d take it farther. Pulling back from his hand I reiterated my earlier suggested. “Ned, my mom is in her room waiting on you, go bother her,
I have work to do before I go to bed.” I never saw it coming until he made contact with my cheek. I’d never seen him move so fast,
usually the weed they smoked kept them both pretty mellowed out. I could feel the handprint raising on my cheek as he gripped my hair tightly in his fist.

A World Without Magic: A Fantasy Adventure

INTRO

What if I told you the world is full of magical beings, and fairytale things?
You’d probably call me crazy, maybe even think I should be locked up in a rubber room,
somewhere where I can hug myself with my own coat. I’m not crazy, the world is, well not crazy per say, but definitely whacked out.
Now what if I told you I mild mannered, seventeen year old, Mori Smith was destined to bring back magic to our world.
I don’t understand it anymore than you do at this point, I just found out recently myself.
No preparation, one day I’m just walking along minding my own business and the next thing I know I’m on a quest to bring back magic.
I didn’t ask for this responsibility, but here I am with a unicorn, a knight in shining armor,an elf,
a dragon, and a witch following a map that leads to god only knows where. Before you get too excited maybe I should explain what happened before I came along.

Chapter One
Our story doesn’t begin with me, no it begins thousands of years ago, before any of us were even born.
I’m not sure when exactly, because let’s face it there are no history books about magic are there.
Back to the story, magical beings and fairytale things were put on the earth to help mankind.
They were meant as guiding hands of fate in a way, making sure there was a balance.
Only they got selfish, or more like self centered and began forgetting about mankind and what their true purpose was.

Dwarves In Space: A Sci-Fi Adventure

Chapter One

What happens when your planet is about to be destroyed, well in our case some guy named Moah builds a spaceship to get your asses off world.
Of course there were those non-believers who thought he was full of shit and refused to get on his ship, yeah those idiots went up in flames.
I have to admit I almost didn’t believe myself, I thought he was crazy, I mean the guy was telling everyone the world was ending,
and that some god told him to build this spaceship to save us all. See, told you it sounded crazy, but that’s exactly what Moah told everyone.
My parents were the first ones to sign up, they tell me it was because my mother was pregnant with me and she had a feeling something bad was coming.
Personally I think they were both high on mushrooms and said what the hell let’s do this, but either way it saved our family.
I was born on the ship just before we made it to Bexar 5, a lovely planet close enough to earth's atmosphere that we could all live happily ever after,
too bad the Baxarians didn’t get that memo. Bexarians were a unique species, they seemed to hate everything, and everyone that wasn’t them.
They were highly intelligent tiny creatures with the strength of giants, that looked like a cross between a monkey and a chameleon,
including the ability to change to fit their surroundings. Apparently Moah didn’t get their permission to land on their planet, not that they would have given it, but they used that as their
excuse to attack our colonies as we built them. Even the orcs were no match for their strength, eventually they too fell to the Bexarian armies.
